It's truly one of the best engines I've ever used. It's just a bit more grown up and refined. Every Fiesta I've owned has rattled somewhere and the MK8 is still no exception. Is there any adjustments on the seats at all.

I’ve loved every moment of owning it so far, but now I’m getting a little bored of it and looking at moving on to something new within the next year. I'm sure the Fiesta will do 95% of what the RS does for a lot less money, but I really want to scratch the RS itch. I cant seem to find any difference in shape. First of all, despite hearing all the praise on here I did not think it would be as good as it was! Currently in a Focus ST diesel, which is superb, but I've recently had a change in circumstances dropping my mileage from around 18k a year to more like 6-8k. A UK Based (Wordwide Members!) I'd imagine they will become a little softer with more miles as I'm still on less than 250 miles in mine. Exhaust sounds much better, raspier with faint pops and crackles if you really listen for them. I'm sure I'll get the itch eventually, but I could happily drive this car to it's death. For what it's worth, my long term average MPG is 37-38 on the MK7 and 41 with the MK8. MK8 is more comfier (on 18" wheels) but only very slightly - it's still going to shake you about! This is because 3 cylinder motors require heavier flywheels than 4 poppers do to achieve the same NVH. But die-hard old school hot hatch fans may find it a bit 'grown up'. Engine feels smoother and quite a bit faster, the sound is also a lot better! Has more torque and it's noticeable (Than a STOCK mk7), Dies off more quickly at higher RPM (example: third gear on the MK7 keeps on going but MK8 is stronger at low-end), It takes longer for the revs to return to idle, It oddly takes much longer to get up to temperature.
